1 Peter 2:24 NIV He personally carried our sins on his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By His wounds, you are healed.
Prayer for Inner Healing
Psalm 30:2 O Lord my God, I cried to You and You have healed me. Isaiah 53:4-5 (AMP) Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you, Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. Is there something in your past that is causing problems with your emotions or thoughts? I believe we can all relate to those times we struggle with wrong thoughts and the unhealthy and sometimes toxic emotions and feelings they create. Sometimes this over time causes depression or other conditions that keep us from enjoying the gift of life, and from being whole or complete. Life becomes a task, as we suffer through carrying the weight of emotional trama on our shoulders. God can and will - as we open up, become less defensive and easily offended - show us exactly where and why we hurt, and will lead us to victory, freedom, and life! Ask him today - now even! Let's agree in prayer. Lord, you are the doctor and physician of my soul. Send forth your healing power into every area of my inner-self. I surrender to you all areas of unforgiveness; I choose to release and forgive, especially since you have forgiven me! I trust You to help me with this, where difficult, and to show me how to release things. Please heal where hurtful past have caused anger and bitterness to form and fester, causing harm to my physical health and my relationships. I ask for your grace to forgive every person in my past who has ever hurt me or spoken unkind words against me. and I ask for your loving grace to heal all the circumstances where I failed to receive the love, affection, support and respect. I ask to be set free and washed clean by the power of your purifying love. I forgive myself for my past mistakes and failures, and I ask to be set free from all destructive consequences, thoughts, doubts, guilt, shame and self-condemnation. I forgive those who I have vowed that I would never forgive. I break those vows right now by the power of your name Lord Jesus. By an act of my free will, I choose to forgive everybody, including the person who hurt me the most. I release my desire to receive an apology, my need to be justified in my actions and my need for others to acknowledge the injustice. Through the power of your Holy Spirit, I ask you Lord Jesus to fill me with your love, peace, patience, kindness, generosity and self-control. May your healing hand rest upon me now as I bless all those who have hurt me. I desire to be kind and compassionate to everyone, forgiving them just as you have forgiven me. Amen.
