1 Peter 2:24 NIV He personally carried our sins on his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By His wounds, you are healed.
Condemnation defined: the expression of very strong disapproval; expression of very strong and definite criticism or disapproval. Or: condemning someone to a punishment; sentencing.
Now, does that sound anything like Jesus? Actually to be truthful, it is anti-Christ. Completely against the message of the Good News he taught and demonstrated. Jesus said He came for the lost, not the righteous. He repeatedly told those He contacted, "you're sins are forgiven (by way of our faith)" see Luke 7:47-48, Matthew 9:2. Isaiah 43:25New Living Translation (NLT) 25 “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again. So if God doesn't, why should we? First, we know to defend ourselves (in the area of our mind or thoughts) by practicing 2 Corinthians 10:5 - "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." Anything that the devil makes you feel like you need to "pay for", or feel shame or disgrace for....or have to "earn" forgiveness from God for something in the past, cast that down! It's a lie from the 'accuser of the bretheren' (Revelation 12:10). Jesus died in our place, knowing we needed a Savior - and paid the price of sin (which is death) for us already. we need to repent and receive our forgiveness by faith, only. Jesus told the Pharisees that they needed more than to know 'the letter of the law' of Moses; they needed to believe in Jesus and what He offered by grace. So we know we are all forgiven through Christ. so let's pray: Dear Father, I thank you for the forgiveness of sins. I thank you that through your blood, I am counted as righteous. I receive it now! I ask that you bring healing to any and all areas in my mind, heart and body where I am harbouring any of my past or experiencing effects or anything negative from my past experiences. Sow me where I have any habits of condemning myself or others, God. Show me how to cast them down, as your Word says. Open me up to receive the love and acceptance of God and others as well. This I seal with my Faith. Thank you Lord. Amen
