After recently reading again what "Shalom" really means - in addition to (the 'whole' and 'complete' kind of:) "peace" is: Completeness, Soundness, Welfare... (Strong's Concordance) ; it also refers to the gift that was given to you and me - the 'New Covenant' God made with us, after He died for us on the cross - a covenant (treaty, compact, agreement between two, a promise) of Wholeness - Shalom. It also refers to the completeness of that wholeness He intended for us to have access to (that we couldn't obtain on our own, through 'works') : like healing, unearned grace, protection, joy, favor, prosperity...and some reject prosperity for various reasons and beliefs; but prosperity simply means in the dictionary to succeed, flourish, and thrive in this life. 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 3 John 1:2 Matthew 6:33 Naturally if God put us in a world with certain systems in place, I believe when He died for our shalom He also gave access to the natural provisions we needed as well. Yes, God wants us to be able to provide for ourselves - and not soley or completely based on the world's systems all by themselves: like the job you have, educational background, luck or chance, etc, but on His ability to lead and guide our decision making, and to provide divinely for us as well. We all need it and desire it.
How do you access this shalom?
Here is my practical and simple answer, as I have interpreted from the Holy Spirit...and have also gained peace through putting it to use:
1. Putting Christ first place!
He said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:16. All other ways lead to a VOID. I learned to not be so religious about this, also: I couldn't and didn't have to earn this, be good enough, learn some hidden secret (to experience His presence), or "make it so far" with my 'goodness' before I could call on Him and He answer....with His voice and presence. And the moments I prayed for help with this when I was in a difficult mental or emotional state due to life, He was always faithful to send someone to help - even via the Web, in person, at a conference, etc! Every time, and in due time.
2. Minimize distractions.
For those of us that aren't the best at doing this, can even do this for at least 1 hour. Even if you start at 30 min. of free, distracted time....when you first awaken, or before you fall asleep. This is the time I have actually used to bring some organization to my life (with plans, goals, etc) and most importantly to quiet my mind and just listen to what God might put in my heart at this time. It was as if things in my life that I didn't want there were consistently being eliminated, one by one....steming from this reflection time with God! I was also able to gain some much-needed understanding in some areas I had previously been confused in.
3. Self-acceptance; know who you are.
This was really crucial for me. Even though I had read the book of Romans (chapters 3 to 9) at least a couple times before over the years, I came to realize I didn't fully believe everything I was reading! I say that because although I quoted much of it to other people when they felt down or criticized themselves, I didn't quite yet see myself as forgiven....'completely'. I always felt like there was something that I needed to 'get right' or 'do better' before I would really truly be worthy of ALL the promises from God He tells us in the Bible - and (thank goodness) it doesn't work that way. I was my own worst critic! It could never be earned; God KNEW from the beginning we would need a Savior (Ezekiel 33:11, Romans 8:32). In Romans Paul talks about how not one of us can boast; that there is none righteous, not even one! that we are all saved by the grace of God's love, through our faith in Him. After really studying this, I began to realize from a much better angle that I really was righteous - THROUGH the sacrifice Jesus made only, and JUST like those around me that had also accepted this free gift - and was forgiven, and had the same access to God all the time as they did! and that we were equally seen, equally loved, etc through the eyes of God. I was not any less deserving or less meaningful than anyone else, because my self-worth had nothing to do with how 'good' or how close to 'perfect' I could be! Crazy, maybe...but yes, I was still codemning myself. The devil will keep reminding you of your failures, shortcomings, etc to keep you in a unhealthy place, mentally...if you believe these lies in the first place. He will keep using them too, as long as you believe them and let him! I have learned to trust in the grace of God, receive the gift of forgiveness (not just for others, but for me too, ha), and to put things behind me. I know when God wants my attention in an area that needs improvement, He knows how to get it; and I am (usually) listening. I repent and move on, even if others can not (IMPORTANT!). NEVER keep making yourself 'pay' for things that Christ has already paid for.
As I began to walk around and truly see myself as equal, it was literally life changing. My level of comfortability changed tremedously, making it much easier to function more comfortably while working and/or doing things I wanted to do.
4. Time in Worship.
Spending time in thanksgiving towards God is priceless. I have often told friends and family to just simply try it - even if you feel silly at first, because it's your first time - and just keep going at it, and God will definitely meet you there! It will change your life. (2 Corinthians 3:17 , Psalm 22:3) I think it's a wonderful time to ask Him to be filled with the Holy Spirit if you haven't yet done so!
Father, I thank you that you chose us to be recipients of your vast love - that is big & beyond our understanding! We are so thankful for your goodness, grace, mercy, and favor towards us. We thank you that you schose to give us Life, through your one and only Son, Jesus Christ - what a gift! Thank you for dying on our behalf, and defeating sin - once and for all - so that we might love you, have an intimate relationship with you, and have access to peace, shalom in You. Father, I ask that you grant the person reading this prayer a demonstraion of your love, power and goodness through You inhabiting the words of their praise today. I pray that they experience rejuvination, love, and the joy of your presence - and its cleansing and deliverance power as well. God, I KNOW that you watch over your Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12 Isaiah 55:11). Please grant them the pleasure of experiencing you in fullness, today - soul and spirit. Thank you God, for this blessing we have, from You. May this be the first day of a renewed and intimate relationship with You, for all who desire it. Amen!
When you begin to willingly let stuff go - the past, its people, things, and events (anything no longer serving a purpose in your life) - you will rest easier (especially at night) and feel so much better!
Have you honestly tried? Are you willing?
But, what if you literally can't?
What if: your past just replays itself - like a movie - uncontrollably in your mind, all on 'it's' own? Every single day?
"The past never sees the future" - J. Duplantis. I heard him quote this a few times over the last couple years during services I attended. I remind myself of this: when your back is turned completely toward your future, and you are just busy reliving your past.....you get nowhere, fast. And time keeps on moving.
Although I'm not a mental health expert - but I can share what has helped me. I asked God for help, and He has answered, giving me great tools that lead to a healthier mind. You want your memory, drive, ambition, energy, and focus back -- I'm sure! And joy for life and its relationships as well, too.
Tip #1: Being open to the truth.
Be able to receive and believe the truth about yourself and your situations. If you ask God to reveal it to you, He will. Use your God-given authority (Luke 10:19) to bind any demonic influence or interference (Matthew 18:18), as God begins to reveal things to your heart. The truth sets you free. Confront your feelings, let God reveal the source of the pain, then let it go - cast your cares on Him. (Psalm 55:22; 1 Peter 5:7). You must at least be willing to part ways with them. God showed me also, that even dwelling on the good things too long is a distraction - and, that there is a time and place for that. He will recall them for you when necessary.
Tip #2: Rest your mind - on purpose.
Start with small intervals - five minutes, then ten, then more - a few times a day, where you rest your mind and block out the thought process all together. Close your eyes, if you can. It begins to get easier and starts to contain fewer and fewer mistakes.
Tip #3: Spend time in silence, praying AND listening to God.
Listening, with a clear mind, is important. Shutting off the cell phone, TV, and busyness for at least one complete day is a must at this point - trust me. It also aids in clearing your mind, greatly reducing stress, and the ability to think clearer and remain less distracted. For me, this has proven to work almost as well as fasting (my own personal opinion!).
Then, regular stress/worry free time (alone) needs to be scheduled in, every week. Always check your schedule to make sure you aren't over-taxing yourself (remove your Super Woman or Super Man cape). Be realistic.
Yes, some aspects must be healed by God - and He will faithfully fulfill His word (Isaiah 55:11). Just remain yielded and available for it.
Tip #4: Ask for help!
Don't be afraid. Even Super Man had help ☺
Seriously. Even just one good friendship is worth its weight in gold! I have also prayed and ask God to show me someone, or to send help. Try it and see - be patient. God is always right on time (not your time, but HIS time).
Tip #5: Be a well-watered garden (Isaiah 58; Isaiah 58:11)
What you put in your mind, cultivates what your heart produces. What are you watering? What are you feeding the most? If all we watch is reality TV or fiction, drama, etc...what has been fed? Naturally and spiritually - whatever you choose to feed, water, and maintain, grows. The type of harvest you get, depends on what seeds you planted.
For a short while, I had to literally say the Word out loud to myself (or under my breath) every time a negative or condemning thought towards myself popped into my mind. For example: If I began to think of something that I was experiencing that felt difficult to handle or get out of, I would say, "that is NOT true. God doesn't waste anything; in fact, He is causing all things to work together for my good. I am fearfully and wonderfully made; my name is written on the palm of His hand..." and so forth. I allowed God to train me, and also give me a heart....to always see the good in everybody. Not only shortcomings. He reminds me of how much forgiveness I needed myself! The blood of Jesus didn't just wash over me - or you - but all who received the gift of it.
Last tip: HELP SOMEONE ELSE.
The perfect distraction from inward thinking of ones own problems and past is to help someone else. Volunteer; there are a number of options!
Let us pray:
Lord, we humbly approach your throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16), ready to let go of our pasts and embrace our future. Your intentions God for me is to actually live, thrive and prosper - in my mind, body, and soul; as well as in my natural environment too (Jeremiah 29:11; 3 John 1:2)! You provided for it all - everything we could need. So God, show me how to trust you - and trust that ultimately your decisions are best for me. Including those things I don't yet understand. Your ways are perfect! You love me beyond my comprehension. I am worthy of it all, simply because You said SO. In you, I am forgiven, and as white as snow (Isaiah 1:18). Renew my mind God, and bring about the healing I need. Send healthy and encouraging mentors into my life!
In Jesus name, Amen (so be it)!
Here is a very descriptive article of dealing with a man/spouse that is influenced by the spirit of Jezabel.
At the end of the article, the author lists great tips on prevention from entering into these types of relationships in the first place! We MUST keep our morals in tact without bending: compromising never 'wins over' anyone or anything. along with good old common sense, too - always "check things out" thoroughly, first.
Do you like the condition of your environment?? I mean the one you carry with you! How are things around you?
How do you feel??
Do you often experience turmoil, still? The same things happening, over and over? Your not still on that semi-permanent "roller coaster" ride, are you?
There is another post here, titled, Get Off The Merry Go Round. It deals with more physical changed within ourselves and our decision making; here, I'd like to mention the spiritual aspect.
The good news is, as a child of God and having received His unconditional gift of forgiveness and grace, we now have authority over our spiritual environment around us.
Luke 10:19 NLT
Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.
Jeremiah 1:12 NIV (also in photo above) The LORD said to me, "You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled."
**When you hear, receive and obey the word of God you are given the power to decree the word.**
Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
We can decree something - and expect Gods Word to perform (Jerimiah 1:12) and bring about what it is we ask (1 John 5:14). This is our inheritance (Isaiah 54:17) as a born-again child of God
This doesn't depend on how 'good' we are; thank goodness, too! It all depends on who He is, and what HE said and promised. So go on and expect it! Continue to call those things that you need, into existence. Line it up with His Word, and what He has promised you....and you cant go wrong.
Finally, don't let darkness set the agenda!
Use your God-given authority - and command the devil out. Then ask God to continue to cover you, always (it acts also an expression of your faith).
Just believe. And watch things turn. For your good!
Dear Father God, I ask that you show me just who I am, in YOU - and teach me to walk and act in that authority you have given me to walk in. All the time! You desire mw blessed and happy, full of your joy. Cause me to believe what You tell me through prayer, and what You tell me and show me inside your Word. Cause me to receive the liberating truth of Your Word, and to renew my thinking - about myself and others, daily. Help me to meditate and focus on the positive things You say in Your Word, and on my many blessings from you; and forget and move on past all the negative aspects of my past, along with my faults. You died for my forgiveness of sins, and to give me newness of LIFE - I receive it, and embrace it by faith, right now. Thank you Lord! Amen
How to KNOW you are in a bad relationship........
I know that emotions can be very controlling, once they grow - they can take over when not put in check from the beginning. It's difficult to hear (and accept) the truth about things when your emotions are high. They can steal all your attention and blind you or insulate you from facing the truth of the situation: for many different reasons. Eventually it becomes difficult to hear what God is saying to you about the matter, because your emotions are so strong, and 'speak' even louder. It can be scary for some to begin entertaining the thought of breaking up and being alone, starting over (and the list goes on...). God doesn't allow us to be blindsided completely. It's a necessary habit to seek Godly counsel, and to seek Him first. Somewhere in the beginning, He exposes the truth. Yes, we all make mistakes. Yes, most of us meant well. And, just had good hopes of having found someone special. And so on. But.......is there anything you missed?
Signs of a bad relationship:
1: Settling - with lots of doubt.
Yes we all have faults, but do you really get along?? Or, are you staying in fear of 'change' or being single/alone; staying for companionship, because you have a child together, insecurity or lack of self-confidence, etc. Fear about something, lack of peace, or being uncomfortable a lot, is usually your answer::: "No". Choose God's will (more peaceful and natural) than your own (doubtful and afraid).
2. You're making too many excuses!
"I do love him". "He's a good guy, he just needs to change". Or, again: because you have a child together, have been sexually intimate, or don't want to be single/alone. Breaking up can be hard to do. But it is possible! All those excuses, and still remaining in the relationship leads to having no joy.
3. Abuse - mental, physical, or emotional. Don't be target practice for someone's baggage they carry from their past. If their baggage is released are you and it is abusive, red flag! Run. We can't change anyone; only God can. Please don't subject yourself to deception willingly - because I believe that's where control comes in. It's only a downward spiral from there. In fact, if anything rude or disrespectful is happening on a consistent basis:: run. Do what's 'right' now, to protect yourself later!
4. Many friends and family members are concerned.
A couple? Ok, I might can understand. However, when just about everyone sees something peculiar or 'not quite right' with who you are dating, it might be worth taking this into consideration and seeking guidence from God, asking Him to show you what you need to see (if so).
Those are just a few. Wisdom is doing 'now' what brings gratification later. It also means that after you leave the relationship you shouldn’t go back! Please don't choose to ignore the unrest in your spirit and continue on with a person you "don’t think you can live without". We shouldn't keep justifying staying in a relationship that we will wish we had abandoned later. Let's be concerned more with honoring God than him/her. And, wait on His timing. Have faith he will send the right one, and there will be no dysfunction, anxiety or unrest attached with it. God will heal the heartbreak, sadness and disappointment that can sometimes linger from a breakup. He is always there!
Lord, I ask you to show me when someone is not meant to be in my life. Lord, I want you to grant me with acceptance in your strength to do what is right in your eyes. God, I know you want what's best for me. Any emptiness war brokenness from my past and past relationships, I asked that they be healed now according to your Word. Your Word says that by your stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:5). Heal my broken heart and sadness, in Jesus name (Psalm 34
:18). Give me the strength to trust you wholeheartedly, and press towards the bright future that you have given me. You love me, and will never leave me nor forsake me (Deuteronomy 31:6). Your Word also says that you would hold nothing good from me (Psalm 84:11) and that you also cause all things to work together for my good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, send the person that you have hand picked for me. I will wait and trust in you (Psalm 27:14)! Amen.
Depression is an ugly monster! I've had a lot of experience with it. Sometimes unknowingly...meaning you can be depressed without realizing it at all. I now recognize the signs and symptoms of it, and nip it in the bud as it tries to arise (and rule) again. Let's call it as it is, folks: it’s a demonic presence! Ready to rob you of your precious joy that the Lord gave you. And your peace. The Lord told us in the New Testament during His ministry on earth (as a warning),
"The thief (the devil) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have Life, and may have it in abundance." John 10:10
Jesus assures us that His coming (and dying in our place, for sin) gives us life, if we receive it from Him. It's a free gift! Thus Jesus IS the answer to the devil and his schemes.
Luke 10:19 NIV
"I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you".
The devil is a defeated foe! All our fights are 'fixed'; we are "MORE than conquerors, in Christ!" - Romans 8:37.
Do you know the signs of depression (persistent, nagging heaviness)? The signs are:
♢ Difficulty concentrating, remembering details, and making decisions
♢ Fatigue and decreased energy
♢ Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, and/or helplessness
♢ Feelings of hopelessness and/or pessimism;
♢ Insomnia, early-morning wakefulness, or excessive sleeping
♢ Irritability, restlessness
♢ Loss of interest in activities or hobbies once pleasurable;
♢ Overeating or appetite loss
♢ Persistent aches or pains; frequent headaches, cramps, or digestive problems that do not ease even with treatment
♢ Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" feelings
♢ Thoughts of suicide, suicide attempts
One of the key points to experiencing lasting change for me has been to increase my self-esteem and self- confidence. This boost has come about (and is still a process) by friends, pastors, and other encouraging women God has placed in my path that have been great examples of being confident in who God made and designed them to be. I've taken some time to discover who exactly I am - not just in ministry, but 'naturally' too. I asked myself questions, like: What are my goals? What steps do I need to take and what changes are needed to accomplish them? What do I really want out of my life? What are my standards/boundaries (in different areas of life), and am I upholding them well? I also asked: what really causes me to be unsatisfied with my life right now? I prayed and asked God to reveal to me the parts that I could fix, and to show me how; the rest I learned to entrust in His care and guidance. Some personal things I began to check out and evaluate were:
• My finances/budget (money mismanagement = stress),
• Organization - my responsibilities and extra-curricular activities, etc. I had to let some things go, and accept that I was NOT a superhero. Instead of having 5-6 full nights a week after work, I managed to cut things and get down to 2-3.
• Setting and maintaining healthy boundaries; towards myself, and in all my relationships.
• 'Upgrading' my physical appearance, and taking more time and care for it: let's face it; a lot of things we complain about (our weight, hair, etc.) we CAN change or learn to change.
• Allowing God to show me my 'changeable' flaws, without getting offended: listening better without being a motor-mouth (which improved my relationships), praying for others (not just myself), changing bad habits, and receiving good advice and well-meant criticism.
Each area of my life where I felt heaviness and experienced a lack of interest or commitment I asked God about; I wanted to know the root cause.
Let us pray:
Father, you said as we delight ourselves in you, that you will give us the desires of our hearts. We know that you came as Acts 10:38
tells us: to destroy the works of the darkness and heal all those oppressed and depressed by the devil. I pray for my sisters and brothers, any one of them that is struggling with this spirit of depression -- we break the ties to all symptoms of depression in the powerful name of Jesus. Lord, you said whatever we bind (forbid) on earth is bound in heaven. And whatever we loose (release), it will be loosed in Heaven (Matthew 18:18). We bind up depression and we loose victory right now in Jesus name. Amen (so be it)! I rejoice with you, for your victory over depression.
Trust that the Word of the Lord is powerful, and all you need. It will not return to you void. Never give up! We are here for you, to agree in prayer.
If you have access to anointing oil, place some above your doorways, including your front door. A friend of mine also anoints his pillows from time to time. Again, the oil has powerful representation and is biblical, but the Almighty and Sovereign Lord does the work!
Prayer for Peaceful Rest
Dear Lord Jesus, please show me how to relax in the peace of your love. Lead me in to your sabbath rest (Hebrews 4:9-10), that is promised and provided for your children. Clear and renew my mind and thoughts, and bring serenity to my heart and renewal to my spirit.
In your loving embrace, I ask that you bless my dreams, cleanse my subconscious and wash my thoughts with the purity of your touch. Please minister to my heart (Psalm 51:10), mind, body, soul and spirit as I rest in your presence and care tonight.
Please send forth your angels - your ministering spirits to stand guard over me as I sleep. According to the power given to me by the Lord - I destroy and annul all curses, word curses, hindrances and demonic influences that have been sent against me, and anything that affects my ability to experience a peaceful night’s rest. I plead the blood of Jesus that was shed for me, over all demonic gateways I may have opened through unrepentance of my sins. Thank you Lord for my forgiveness and righteousness in you! I bless your Holy name, God. Amen.
Prayer for Inner Healing
O Lord my God, I cried to You and You have healed me.
Isaiah 53:4-5 (AMP)
Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the
mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you, Casting the whole of your care [all
your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for
you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
Is there something in your past that is causing problems with your
emotions or thoughts? I believe we can all relate to those times we struggle with wrong thoughts and the unhealthy and sometimes toxic emotions and feelings they create. Sometimes this over time causes depression or other conditions that keep us from enjoying the gift of life, and from being whole or complete. Life becomes a task, as we suffer through carrying the weight of emotional trama on our shoulders. God can and will - as we open up, become less defensive and easily offended - show us exactly where and why we hurt, and will lead us to victory, freedom, and life! Ask him today - now even!
Let's agree in prayer.
Lord, you are the doctor and physician of my soul. Send forth your healing power into every area of my inner-self. I surrender to you all areas of unforgiveness; I choose to release and forgive, especially since you have forgiven me! I trust You to help me with this, where difficult, and to show me how to release things. Please heal where hurtful past have caused anger and bitterness to form and fester, causing harm to my physical health and my relationships.
I ask for your grace to forgive every person in my past who has ever hurt me or spoken unkind words against me.
and I ask for your loving grace to heal all the circumstances where I failed to receive the love, affection, support and respect. I ask to be set free and washed clean by the power of your purifying love. I forgive myself for my past mistakes and failures, and I ask to be set free from all destructive consequences, thoughts, doubts, guilt, shame and self-condemnation. I forgive those who I have vowed that I would never forgive. I break those vows right now by the power of your name Lord Jesus.
By an act of my free will, I choose to forgive everybody, including the person who hurt me the most. I release my desire to receive an apology, my need to be justified in my actions and my need for others to acknowledge the injustice.
Through the power of your Holy Spirit, I ask you Lord Jesus to fill me with your love, peace, patience, kindness, generosity and self-control. May your healing hand rest upon me now as I bless all those who have hurt me. I desire to be kind and compassionate to everyone, forgiving them just as you have forgiven me. Amen.
......And LEAVE IT THERE!! ☺
PLEASE do not keep going BACK to the altar, and shuffling through your old suitcases or junk that God has long forgotten, forgiven and erased. That is Old Testament mentality - because we have a Savior who died for us! We are saved by His great grace. Chronic (continual) anxiety is a major distraction to us, and can cause health and relationship issues...among other things. Confronting your stressors in life will help alleviate anxiety. Un-attended issues are nerve-racking! Left unchecked, they dominate everything because stress/anxiety then takes over. They are always there, tapping at your mind or subconscious. Respond to your emotions, because toxic emotions can leave wounds. Toxic emotions indicate an area of fear usually, or an area we aren't confronting for a particular reason. In this day and age we often put more demands on ourselves to 'perform' that are beyond most people's natural ability to do so.
Give yourself 'the ok' to receive help from others occasionally. It's OKAY ☺ and part of human nature. Ask God and someone you trust with Godly wisdom to help you sort things out, or identity your needed changes; like setting healthy boundaries in your life, setting your mind and KEEPING it set, consciously making good decisions, and so on. Also: because it's impossible to quite do EVERYTHING we want to do (not humanly possible), prioritize; and say 'no' when necessary. My pastor used to remind me a couple years ago that "No" is a COMPLETE sentence! (ha) Most things don't even require an excuse to be created....that's stressful to even think about!
Jesse Duplantis often says, "The past NEVER sees the future"! Let us embrace all God has for us today. Leaving what is behind, and receiving with gladness all that He has in His hands to give us, in the 'now'. Let's agree not to define ourselves by the 'old' anymore!
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your GREAT grace, mercy, and love towards us - as the psalmist David says in Psalm 8:4; what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them'? John 3:16 "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life". I thank you Lord, that by your blood shed on the cross, I have been set totally free! And, I am no longer defined nor identified by my past mistakes. Thank you for new life, in You Lord! I, by an act
of my own will, release all my past and current cares on you (1 Peter 5:7). Help me to see where I believe wrongly, and help me to shift my focus onto better things. I place all my trust in you and your character, which is all pure love (Proverbs 3:5-7); I know You desire nothing but what is best for me. Thank you for your guidance Lord. In Jesus name, Amen!
Here is a great article to read regarding this.

Stop Repeating the Same Cycles - God Wants To Help:
Hello, how is your day going?? I pray all is well....and feel led to agree with someone in prayer today, about stopping negative cycles:
Father God, I speak blessing, wisdom, and life to whomever is reading/speaking this, in every area of their life that needs surrendering to you and your control. I speak better choices, righteous decision making, knowingly and unknowingly, as lead by your Spirit, God, with overwhelming confirmation....in those areas were breakthrough is desperately needed and sought after. Lord you hear everything - every prayer, every word, and every thought. In fact your Word says that you even know what we need before we even speak it (see Matthew 6:25-33). I thank you in advance for the faith of those reading this prayer in advance, as you have said where two or more agree on a thing, there you dwell in the midst and it is done (Matthew 18:19-20). We see these things as done, and taken care of in your perfect timing! Now God, I speak wholeness of mind to each individual, Godly reasoning, and the ability to make wise choices, through righteous thinking. We will seek you more often, and listen to your still, quiet, and peace-giving voice. Lord also show me the roots or causes to the things you find it necessary for me to know, for change. I will learn by revelation from you, and trust your voice and wise counsel, from those you have placed in my life to minister to me and/or help me. I can receive God ordained correction with grace. I thank you heavenly Father, and always give you all the glory and praise, forever!
Have a blessed day!
Hello All ☺
I would like to share a general prayer with anyone needing it this morning for their healing. We know that God's Word says that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, and the chastisement for our very peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed! So at the cross, we received MORE than jist the forgiveness of sins - we received healing! And it was a finished work...so that it was able to be received by us not just some of the time, but ALL the time. The work has been done, praise the Lord! The Bible also says without faith it is impossible to please God.... but that's not us, right? We must believe it, and also expect to receive it. Today! It's guaranteed to eventually manifest in us; God watches over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). Never give up; and ALWAYS 'expect'. 1 Corinthians 11,:29 talks about us needing to properly discern the body of Christ during the taking of Communion. This means we must believe in the 'finished work of the cross' in order to see our healing take place within us; because if you dont believe, you have already set in motion that you dont expect any change; or for some it is denying it's power. Jesus instructed us to continue taking Communion, doing it 'in rememberance of him. We're going to touch and agree, and believe that its received - today! Father God in the name of Jesus, I just lift up each and every person reading this prayer right now. I touch and agree with them in faith, believing that your word shall come to pass today for them, and they will receive noticeable change, and with continued change from here on out, as we learn to trust, rely, and seek You. Lord, I know that it is your desire that all of us walk in good health. Lord, you said that your Spirit gives life to every fiber of our being (Romans 8:11)! Lord, I speak over each person reading this today, healing in the name of Jesus, according to the mighty Word of God. I ask that as they read these words that they feel your glorious presence, coming over every part of their body, from the top of their head to the soles of their feet. Lord, touch their emotions right now, Let your word become light; healing light - unto their soul, mind, spirit, and body right now, in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord you said that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:21). Lord I approach you with Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving on this day, and all that you have done and will do. The plan of God is good for all his children. So by faith, I request the manifestation of your word in each person reading this today. And those that are sick in our circle of family or friends, touch them today as well Lord and I thank you, and continue to give you all the glory, honor, and praise. Forever more, Amen.
