![]() Greetings! This was a rough week for me - one of those weeks that I had to pause and reflect on where I was in life; soley based off of how run down I felt! I was beginning to feel overwhelmed, and knew it was time to take inventory of things again - like what 'needed to go' and what 'needed to stay'. Anytime I go from day to day - sleeping, but not feeling rested (due to stress and busyness)- anxiety is at the door. I try to push through - not wanting to be lazy or to 'do the right thing' -- but I quickly (and finally) realize that it's not me --- but rather it's my schedule. I put demands on my body and mind, that I absolutely cannot keep up with. I mean, they are all good things (I think, anyway) , like: work, school, kids (single mother), volunteering, church/ministry work, kids activities.........homework......bills........house-hunting......house-cleaning (of where I live now...) ...friends and their activities.......and..so on. How could I dare skip OR leave out *anything*?? I mean, it's all *good*, right? I want to do them! Well. I guess you CAN eliminate things, when your body says, "No". And sure, they can all be called 'good' things to some of us, but maybe not good: ALL AT ONE TIME. Even some of the things I might argue and say I am *meant* to do them - just not all at one time. Give every last drop back to God! And ask Him to reveal what you should be doing - right now. Pray and ask Him to send someone as well, that can give you 'wise counsel'. That person's lifestyle and choices will indicate the kind of help you will receive - so don't waste your time. I read something on Psychology Today that said something like this: Goals are great! But, not alllll at one time; that creates unrealistic goals and anxiety/stress, from demands on yourself that no one could meet. Prioritize them; and do them one at a time. Upon waking up this morning, I read this verse (see left photo): God was instructing me (in the form of a 'visual' - that's what this passage does for me), how to protect myself from wrong decisions and temptation to do things ' my way'. Kinda like a new stance to take, in order to remain clear:§ Keep my back turned - to desires that waste my time, energy, aren't really good for me, or don't produce what I need. § Keep a fresh and open relationship with God EVERYDAY - making it the first thing I do each day (spending time with Him). § Decide to maintain distance from things that tempt me, that keep me farther away from my goals and God-given destiny, or that complicates my everyday life and it's environment as well. In decision making, and what I choose to think upon: prioritize my need and desire to have a 'purified heart, undivided loyalty to God's way, and clean hands'. With these things produces the rest of what is mentioned in the passage: closeness with God, a pure heart, single loyalty, real repentance (actual change), and a humbled character, that God will and does honor. A simple prayer: God, I first thank you and honor you with my heart that you have taken care of me and preserved me since birth for a special purpose; and because you love me. You tell me in your WORD to specifically ask for wisdom from you - without wavering -or divided loyalty. I acknowledge your Sovereignty over everything, and your desire that I be on the right path for me. Because of Your grace, Your mercy and love, I am free from mistakes through repentance and can thankfully move on without looking back. Show me how to make decisions that are wise and conducive for my life - regardless of how it may cause other well-intended people feel. Show me what to keep, and what needs to go. Reveal to me please, my purpose in You, in this life You blessed me with. Life is a gift from God. I ask you to open my eyes, and with clarity and the ability to see things as you see them (2 Kings 6:17; Philip. 2:5; 1:9-10). Reveal to me my priorities, and problem areas. Teach me order, and my household order.. and the wisdom to keep it more often. In Jesus name, Amen! Davina

3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers. Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. "When I THINK about HIS goodness...and ALL HE'S done for me... " my SOUL SHOUTS, hallelujah! God's provision is GREAT. We easily know and remember what He hasn't done for us, that we've inquired of Him. But what about all the control, precision, protection and guidence in our lives everyday, that we forget to say 'thank you' for? All the mishaps, accidents, repercussions, etc that didn't happen?? What about the things that He faithfully maintains AND keeps AND provides - each and everyday, regardless of our mistakes, just for you? For me? Who's really feeding us, and keeping food on the table - for us and our familes? Who's responsible? Did you think it was your paycheck? Or how about your employer? was it one of your buddies, that owes you a favor finally paying up? Or, was it simpky because you just 'got it like that' - you dont deserve heartaches. The scripture says it's GOD - and that sypply is HIS BLESSING from continuously TRUSTING in HIM. He is as vital to us as water! Get - and stay - connected to/in Him.
![]() David is an admirable person in the bible to me: strong, full of endurance, a man after God's own heart, and stuck in there even when the 'going got (really) tough! He made a few mistakes like we do, and was very repentive....due to his close relationship he up-kept with God. In 2 Samuel 12, Nathan the prophet gives David a parable along with a judgement (from the Lord) regarding his episode with Bathsheba, Uriah's wife. David had slept with Bathsheba; upon finding out she was pregnant, he then tries to get Uriah to return home from war (so Uriah will go to bed with her, and assume the child is his own). Uriah was too modest to leave his fellow troops, so (after a few failed attempts to push him home) King David has him put on the front line - along with a few other troops - dangerously close to the enemy (intentionally) and him and several others are killed.... King David then takes Uriah's wife as his own.....Nathan the prophet corrects him, with a Word from the Lord. ((READ Nathan's correction from the LORD *BELOW/LEFT* : ))
"What do our dreams mean?
Scriptures say: Job 33:15-18: In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." According to the Bible, a vision is something that occurs when a person is awake, while a dream is something that happens when a person is asleep. Studies show that we are quite possibly always dreaming when we sleep, but we only remember the dreams right before we awake. There are several cases in scripture where men remember a dream (of the Lord) upon waking. "St. Gregory points out the many ways in which the mind is affected by images from dreams. "Sometimes," he says, "dreams are engendered of fullness or emptiness of the belly, sometimes of illusion, sometimes of illusion and thought combined, sometimes of revelation, while sometimes they are engendered of imagination, thought, and revelation together" ('Moral.,' 8:42). God will also use this time to warn us of many things, for many reasons. Ecclesiastes 5:3 "For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words." "For a dream cometh through (in consequence of) the multitude of business. As surely as excess of business produces fevered dreams, so excess of words, especially in addresses to God, produces a fool's voice, i.e. foolish speech." ---Pulpit Commentary, BibleHub.com In other words, what we see when we close our eyes to sleep is simply from the commotion of our own lives. And like talking too much, results in foolishness! Ecclesiastes 5:7 "For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God." This verse tells us that a multitude of dreams can be worth absolutely nothing. Sometimes we simply see what our sub-conscious thought thinks or feels, and other times it s something that we have thought or seen before, playing back randomly. And so on. Acts 2:17: 'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams." God is still speaking to us today through dreams and visions. Unfortunately, this is the only time He can fully get thru to some of us with our full attention, or the only time we are actively 'listening'. God can push through the clutter of things we sometimes carry around in our minds through the day, but are we able to truly listen? Listening involves hearing/receiving. The power of God (by His Spirit) is available and was given to all His children; and as it rests upon us, we are able to "prophesy, see visions, and dream (Holy Spirit inspired) dreams". Let's remain clear before God, asking His help when needed with this. I often tur to Him to clear myself from the busyness and other things on my mind, from day to day. Conclusion (mine, anyhow): Dreams have been around forever! And, God does use them as His word says. All dreams, of course, are not "from God" - as He did give us a mind that 'works', and is capable of imagining things. His divine nature has ways of revealing the source, and when it is from Him. Which brings me to my next point - bring all concern before the Lord, and ask Him to show you the meaning. I typically receive an answer within moments or up to a couple days. Again, sometimes other factors play a part in my listening ability at the moment...we should get still before Him, sometime throughout our day. God will reveal if there is no meaning as well (and the dream derived from elsewhere). Yes, demonic spirits will try to interfere sometimes, but that is another discussion. We still have authority from God though, always! We can use our mouth to confess God's Word, and send him packing. And remember, God is never the author of total confusion. The devil is a lies and attempts to discourage us at times. Although God works in many ways, there are some common forms or symbols people have experienced. Here are a few suggestions. I find the articles I linked to be very helpful in my life personally. I do understand we are all unique, but I feel this will clear up some of the more detailed questions you may have. The Lord wants to tell us,
Don't stand in the gap...."still" --- of what God is doing right now. Use your gift(s) He has given you, and FLOW in it, with it! This works best, as you remain clear. So let us clear ourselves of the clutter. Blessings❤ Davina A prophetic word with Pastor Huey Harris,
"The weights are getting Lighter" my God! Glory! No greater love, deliverance and comfort than a word from The Lord. Psalm 107:20 tells us - He sent His word to heal and deliver them. Greetings wonderful people, I didnt edit this- as The spirit spoke- I wrote- hope it blesses someone!!! At times life can feel like weights are falling down upon your head/ and life. Think about carrying a 200lb bag of weights with one hand all day every day for a month. Many of you are carrying such weights around- weights of stress, disappointments, grief, depression, confusion, anxiety, hurt, regret, unhappiness, and this list can go on. But God has some good news for YOU: while fleeing and being under great distress - after fleeing from his son Absalom. David raised his voice!!! Psalm 3: 5-6; With my voice I call unto the Lord, And He answered me out of His holy mountain. (Thank God for not being to Holy- that He can't answer) some folks are to holy they cant answer- But God answers our cry. He said in verse 6; I lay down and I sleep; I awake, for the Lord (sustained) me. After battling with restless nights- David said within himself- this battle is the Lord's. I will lay down and rest in my God. Because Hes my shield and protection. After waking up- God had given David everything he needed to make it THROUGH this. And God told me to tell YOU that are Reading this. He will (sustain) you through the pressures of weights that have been falling upon your head. He said (raise your voice) to me- I need to hear you Right Now. God, will (sustain) and provide the comfort you need as you begin to raise your praise! I hear you lord! HE SAID THE WEIGHTS ARE GETTING LIGHTER!!!! EVEN NOW!!! #GLORYTOGOD #teamJesus |
